Hi,
I know that I am should be running in a separate user account, but I am currently waiting for that to be setup. I have initiated a cron which regularly calls a McV script. When McV executes in the background, I loose control of the window that I am working in and must click on the working window to continue the foreground task. This is not a case a foreground process of McV is running and a background process executes. I was in Dreamweaver when McV took the focus and I had to click on the Dreamweaver window again to regain control. I tested again with a shell window with the same result. While I understand there are issues running in my own user account, this is an undesirable feature which should be investigated and if at all possible fixed.

Background Process Takes Focus
Re: Background Process Takes Focus
Hi Joleen-
I've written this up in inquiry 1169 for evaluation. http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=1169
I've forwarded the information to the programmers to see if they have any thoughts on what might be happening as well.
Thanks, Jay
