location (overview) map

Hi,

I would like to, using a script, be able to see the overview map that shows the image location. Ideally this would be in the image window, in a corner.

Two issues:

1. The map is only shown in the legend (in the foreground).

2. I can only capture the image, but not the 'view and legend' (full window) in a script.

Hi Tim-

1. I've written up an inquiry for evaluation for adding the Overview Map to the Image Window here: http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=2186

2. Unfortunately current scripting methods do not support capturing the legend, toolbar buttons, etc. I have written this up for evaluation in http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=2187 and cross referenced it with http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=1600.
