HI there,
I am using a script which outputs a lot of images using the write image function and 4 times in the month or so it
has corrupted a disc partition.
When It first happened I was able to fix the partition. More recently I installed on to my machine an old 40GB SATA drive - but this has become corrupted.
I was wondering if anybody else had experienced this problem ?

WriteImage corrupting disc partition
Re: WriteImage corrupting disc partition
Hi Henry-
We have not heard of any reports of this type of behavior previously. After talking with the programming staff, they said writeImage() just writes out a file, so they didn't think this could corrupt a disc partition. They were wondering if perhaps the drive is full or the drive is going bad?
They suggested that you should backup your data as this behavior could indicate a hardware failure. Possibly you could run some diagnostics outside of McIDAS?
Thanks, Jay
