globe view artifact
globe view artifact
I am trying to look at some polar orbiting data on a globe view. I went to projections -> viewpoints, and map view and got the following display. There are some wierd circular artifacts that appear in the display that I cannot seem to get rid of. What is the cause of this? Is there any other way to have the surface of the earth be opaque so I don't see through to the other side of the earth?
Re: globe view artifact
Hi Kris,
As from your previous thread ...
I downloaded a GAC pass from the CLASS system and it worked just fine (loaded within a minute and display in about the same amount of time).
Here is the file I used
ftp ftp.ssec.wisc.edu
user anonymous
password e-mail
bin
get
NSS.GHRR.NN.D10305.S2332.E0114.B2808788.GC
I did have to move the image to a vertical level of 0.
If you have a particular file you'd like me to try, post it on our ftp site.
