Radar Range Rings Off Random lock ups

Good Afternoon:

Displaying a radar image (KTLX) using remote radar, range rings are off even when I use the lat/lon from the NWS. They are right on in IDV. Early IDV had this problem with radar.

Also at times need to click on McIDAS-V twice to get to load. Also at times the app locks up but can't reproduce.

The rings are off because McIDAS-V beta1 uses IDV jar files from Unidata's 2.6 release. The IDV 2.6 release had incorrect TDWR locations and our beta version of McIDAS-V was released before they put out the 2.6u1 release that included this fix on 1/29/09. McIDAS-V beta2 will have the correct locations.

Hi Greg,

We are having problems getting to a stable version of IDV. This problem has been fixed in a newer version, but several other bugs were introduced in this version. We are going to try to release beta2 around 15-Mar-2009, but that date is very tentative.
