Hi -
Since many builds of 1.5beta2 the layer label is not turned off by default through cancelling any label and clicking 'Use as default for all displays with data' under 'Add Macro'. In other words, the layer label default cannot be changed at all.
cheers, HP
layer label default cannot be changed
Re: layer label default cannot be changed
Hi HP...
I'm seeing the same behavior, I'll do some more tests on Monday and write this up. Thanks for the alert.

Re: layer label default cannot be changed
Hi HP-
I've done some testing with previous nightlies and 1.4. I believe the problem does exist in 1.4 as well. It appears the imagery display type does not follow the "Use as default for all displays with data" action. Grid and point displays followed this action. Also, I noticed that "Use as default for this type of display" worked for imagery displays. This seems to be a good workaround for the current behavior.
I have written up inquiry 1882 for this bug to be evaluated and fixed. I can see the appropriate entry in main.xml, but the setting must be overridden somewhere. (http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=1882)
Thanks, Jay
