local ADDE server for AVHRR data not working

Hi -

Since a couple of beta2 nightlies the local ADDE server for AVHRR data is not working. It issues the messsage:
'Problem with McIDAS AREA files'

I am using AVHRR from Metop retrieved from CLASS. I happen to have a less recent beta2 on my backup machine and this one works - build date 2014-10-16 19:48.

Hi HP -

Thanks for reporting this. We recently updated the servers in McIDAS-V, and in my testing I ran into the same problem with the AVHRR servers on Windows 7. I added this to our inquiry for updating the servers and alerted the programmer. Just to verify, you are on a Windows machine when you see the error, correct?
