Seamless MODIS granule merger with Hydra

Post by kbedka1 »

I am trying to look at 2 consecutive MODIS 0.25 km Visible granules in Hydra. One of my areas of interest is along the seam between the 2 granules. I drew a box to get as close as possible to the bottom of one granule and the top of the other, but no matter what I do, there always seems to be a gap between the two. See the following link for example:

It would probably be helpful to have some text-based options that would allow one to specify exactly which lines/elems are displayed, such that we can stitch the 2 together perfectly.

This all assumes of course that there is no "gap" between the 2 granules...I'd be very surprised though if there were such a gap.

Sorry for the long wait on a reply. Can you tell me if you are using fast rendering and also which version of McV.

Thanks

Tom Rink has looked at this with me...I had to merge the two files myself beforehand using a Liam Gumley's IDL routine to get a seamless image of two granule's worth of data.
