2015 McIDAS Users' Group Meeting

Post by mug_admin »

Online registration is now available for the 2015 McIDAS Users' Group (MUG) Meeting to be held 8-11 June 2015 in Madison, Wisconsin. The registration form and meeting information can be found on the the MUG Meeting webpage:

http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/mcidas/mug_meeting/2015/

The registration deadline is 15 April 2015.

The planned schedule is for meeting presentations and discussions on Monday and Tuesday, and optional hands-on training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. There is one fee for the meeting registration, and an additional fee if you opt to register for training.

The two training sessions that will be offered - McIDAS-V Basic and McIDAS-V Scripting - are each two days long so you can attend one or the other (but not both). See the descriptions in the Meeting Agenda for more information about their content.

Also see the Meeting Information for lodging options, rates and deadlines.

Please contact the McIDAS Help Desk at mug@ssec.wisc.edu if you have any questions or wish to give a talk or present a poster. We hope to see you here in Madison in June!

One correction from the discussion at the end of the meeting:

The CSPP Geo requirements quoted at the MUG Meeting for processing the GOES-R GRB data stream were actually the specs for creating all of the Level-2 products in GEOCAT. The corrected specs can be found here:
GRB - http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/csppgeo/grb_v0.2.html
GEOCAT - http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/csppgeo/geocat.html
