On November 17th, a McIDAS-V Brainstorming session was held for all scientists at SSEC and CIMSS. At the session, one basic question was asked of the users: What would you like to see in McIDAS-V?
The following discussion is from that brainstorming session:
Will we get to a point where we can run completely in the background? (Kaba)
* TomW said that this is our goal.
* Kaba said that the training at the MUG Meeting was a good start, but we need more examples and more of Jon's functions to help people with scripting.
* JonB & Becky commented that Kaba's example script on the forum is a great example.
* TomW added that Python is the choice of AWIPS and very robust. (e.g. Allows a grid to be subtracted from a satellite ir value for example.)
