Hi,
When saving a number of images when making a movie, the %count% does not seem to offer leading zeros? Might it?
For example, an image with a "2" for the count in the file name seems to be the default, while a 02 or even better a 002 would be much improved. This way the file names stay 'in order' when more that 10 or 100 files.
Thanks,

Hi Tim-
That's an interesting request. I've written up inq. 833 for evaluation.

Re: adding leading zero(s) to %count% in filename when saving
Actually, "JMF" showed me that one can already add something like:
%count:000%
to get 2 leading zero's for the first file (eg, 001).

and

That said, I was surprised that the 'delete all' not only clears the current movie capture frames -- even tho the name of the files were changed, but also the previously saved ones. What's the difference between 'over-write' and 'delete all'?

Re: adding leading zero(s) to %count% in filename when saving
Hi Tim-
I was trying this out and "Overwrite" just means overwrite the files so you don't get the dialogue box asking you if you want to overwrite the frames.
"Delete All" just seems like a housekeeping button to clear out frames so file space isn't chewed up. I was surprised too that all files of all names were deleted. I guess I didn't mind since those are just intermediate files for creating movies.
This functionality was ported right from the IDV. It uses system screen captures and we've written inq. 801 (http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=801) to develop a better method to create movies without these system calls.
Thanks, Jay

Re: adding leading zero(s) to %count% in filename when saving
Hi Jay,
This is more than just functionality for creating movies. If someone has a longer loop, it is a much faster way to capture individual images of each frame using the movie capture and assigning labels in a more automated fashion. Some users may want to see a movie, some prefer the individual images.
