I had already checked the folders for 'alien' files - nothing. I have upload the file list: SEVIRI_15min_list.

Thanks for the file listing, things look to be correct from what I can tell.

I'm curious if somehow things are being unzipped differently for us. Would you mind trying the following:

1. Create a new directory.
2. In a Terminal window, cd to the new directory.
3. Grab the unzipped version of the data that I put on ftp. Here are instructions:
   ftp ftp.ssec.wisc.edu
   user: anonymous
   password: email
   bin
   prom
   cd pub/ssec/hp
   mget *
   bye
4. Create a new local dataset pointing to this new directory and give it a try.

By chance, does this give you any better results?
