Legend name of file only

Post by TJS »

Hi,

If we load 2 parameters from the same file, then the legend just has the file name, making it hard to know which is which.

Is there an option to put the variable name in the legend?

Thanks,
TJS

Hi Tim-

You can change the listing by right clicking on the legend name and selecting to Edit -> Properties. The Properties window will appear and the Legend label by default is "%datasourcename% - %displayname%"

If you would like to change to use the parameter name, you can delete the current label text, then left click on "Add Macro" and choose "Field Short Name" and the %shortname% text will be entered in the text box. Apply the changes and the Legend label will list the short field name (in my case CMI_C01).

If you open a new tab and display data, the original %datasourcename% - %displayname% reappears. If you prefer the field names instead, when you select "Add Macro" you can use one of the three "Use as default..." options at the bottom of that list.

Thanks, Jay
