long term goal:reducing network traffic for adde requests

I was going through image chooser design discussion.
Here are some ideas related to adde stuff in mcv but not
related to adde chooser design:
1.Why not use use the visad api to convert between units
like raw to temp to radiance. It makes a lot of sense
as it reduces network traffic. I know may be the api may not
have all the calibrators. But that may be updated in phases.
2. May be we can add a probe control which gives user all the values.
temp, raw and radiance.
