Hi,
On April 21 I asked a question as you write a file in METCDF and got a response with a sricpt. That I modified it to save it on my "/ home" directory. I succeeded in saving the file "satellite_grid.nc". However, I had the error message:
"Java.Lang.NullpointerException"
I have no experience with java. What do I do to fix this error message.
Please can someone help me.
Thank you,
Conrado

Re: Netcdf write
Hello -
I am replicating your NPE error in McIDAS-V 1.6, but the script works fine in our 1.7 beta1 nightly build. If you would like to pick up a 1.7 beta1 nightly, you can get an installer here:
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/mcidas/software/v/unstable/
The login and password are both: mcv
Just download the appropriate installer for your system and install it like you did 1.6. The error is related to a bug with the loadGrid function that was resolved in Inquiry 2438. Our nightly builds are built every morning and they include all of the previous day's commits (including Inquiry 2438). Note that the nightly build hasn't been fully tested and you may come across some bugs. However, right now it appears to be pretty stable so I doubt you will come across anything unexpected. That being said, please report any problems you see.
Thanks -
