How do I interrogate the pixel size of my images?

I believe the best way to do this is to zoom in on the image until you can see obvious pixels and then measure that distance. Go to the "Display" menu in the main image window, and choose the "Add Range and Bearing" control. This gives the user interactive distance and direction controls.

After zooming in, I would suggest measuring say 10 pixels, to better average out any slight error in placing the cursor.

PS: You should also measure both directions, since the pixels sizes are usually different (due to geometry, over-sampling, etc.)
