Hi,
Is there an ADDE server for MODIS TLE orbit track data, or is it necessary to download the TLE before displaying MODIS orbit tracks in McIDAS-V. It is not in the celestrak database.
Thanks,
Joleen
MODIS Orbit Tracks
Re: MODIS Orbit Tracks
Hi Joleen,
If you're running core 1.9, you can use noaaport.ssec.wisc.edu/TLENAV, which can be added through the ADDE Data Manager.
Another option would be to use a different CelesTrak URL. The main CelesTrak webpage (https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/) has links to many different pages where different satellites/instruments are broken up into different categories. One that contains Aqua and Terra is Earth Resources (https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/gp.php?GROUP=resource&FORMAT=tle). You should be able to paste this URL into the Orbit Tracks chooser, click Add Source, and access the Aqua/Terra TLE data.
Please let me know if you have any other questions on this topic.
Thanks,
Bob Carp
