Re: Memory issue
Hi humaid, We would like to see some of your system properties information that is available only by using McV's Support Request Form, plus see screenshots of your McV Main Display window and Advanced Preferences window ( Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab). So please do the following: 1. Save screen...

Re: Model Upgrades
Hi Dan, Sorry, but our policy is to not include test servers (like this thredds-test.unidata.ucar.edu one) in McIDAS-V's system-supplied lists of servers in the various choosers. Please note that users who are given access to test servers can use them in McV by entering them manually. In this case y...

Re: Model Upgrades
Hi Dan, Thanks for the question. Unidata maintains the data on THREDDS Data Server that is accessed in McIDAS-V through the Gridded Data > Remote chooser. So it would be best to contact Unidata with your question. Their THREDDS Data Server page has a "Questions About the TDS?" section with...

Re: slow download of McIDAS-V
In case anyone is curious, we moved this offline and it was resolved. To be specific, the slow downloads problem was due to a UW campus 100 Gpbs uplink port that was failing. It was resolved by taking the port out of service around 22:45 UTC on 16 Oct 2014. HP confirmed that, as of his next download...

Re: slow download of McIDAS-V
Hi HP, I contacted our technical computing group about this. They said that they aren't aware of any networking issues but would like to have you download the installer from a different local web server. We're working on that now, but in the meantime please run the command below and send us the resu...

Re: Data Explorer Fields tab no Times/Region/Advanced Tabs
Hi CraigM, I haven't heard of anyone else reporting this problem. One thing to remember with the Image chooser is that the Data Explorer's Times/Region/Advanced tabs do not appear until you've selected the calibration (e.g., Raw, Radiance, Temperature and Brightness) for the band/wavelength you wish...

Re: discriminateFilter() function script
Hello CNETO,
Thank you for the report. I'm sorry to say that there is a known problem with using the image filters via scripting. It's being worked on in McIDAS-V inquiry 1338 (http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=1338).
Thanks again,
Barry

Re: displaying GPM/GMI temperature values - plans?
Hi HP, Thanks. It looks like the GPM/GMI sample you have is HDF5 format that we currently can only partially read: If we download the 1C.txt file you provided and rename it to its true name (1C.GPM.GMI.XCAL2014-N.20140417-S121647-E122145.V01D.RT-H5) then load it with the General Files chooser with D...

Re: Data Server
Hello JuanJose, If I understand you correctly, you might have been looking for the GOES-12 (GOES-South America) that I believe was previously available in Server "goessouth.unidata.ucar.edu" in Dataset "SOUTH". If that's the case, I believe that there is no longer any data in tha...
