formula not working, why?

I am trying to create a formula to mask one parameter by the value of another, but am getting an error that I don't understand. See attached screenshots of formula and jython library function. I only want to display a product if the value of the phase product is 1 or 6. I've modeled my jython librar...

Two World Country Outlines maps, different results

I'm looking at some data over Africa and I was trying to find a map of lakes in the region. I looked at the list of available maps and see two options for "World Country Outlines", see attached I displayed both to see how they compare and noticed that they are significantly different. In s...

Re: scatter analysis not working properly

interesting update, when I selected a color other than magenta (i.e. blue), then I was able to draw a curve on the images but I don't see the points appearing on the scatter diagram. I can then go back and draw with magenta. I still cannot draw a box on the images though regardless of color

scatter analysis not working properly

I put a file on SSEC ftp site: pub/incoming/G14V04.0.CONUS.2015147.2147.PX.04K.nc I am trying to do a scatter analysis of effective particle radius or diameter vs cloud effective temperature In a previous nightly build, maybe from 3 weeks ago, I was able to see a scatter analysis of these parameters...

decimal times in ascii text

I have a file that has columns of 1) year and day of year and 2) hour and hour fraction in decimal format, in addition to several other data fields. For example, one line would have: 2014035 20.25 The 20.25 corresponds to 2015 UTC. How would I set up an ascii text file header so that Mc-V recognizes...

Re: subsetting not working correctly, polar orbiting swath

I've redone some of the metadata recently, the file structure between your files and this one is the same regardless if it says NOAA Climate Data Record. It sounds like you're able to reproduce the problem that I'm seeing so if all those files work, then it is highly likely that any of them will wor...

time for polar orbiting swath

See attached screenshot of an ncdump of a polar orbiting swath. My question here is related to McIDAS' recognition of the time of the data. You will see that I've specified time as seconds since the beginning of a particular day which is typically recognized by Mc-V. But, due to the needs of the com...

subsetting not working correctly, polar orbiting swath

I have attached a couple graphics below. I am dealing with derived product data in NetCDF from polar orbiting satellite swath. You can see that I've requested data from only over polar regions. (it would be optimal to see a globe here in the sub setter, but the box across the entire top of the flat ...
