Re: color bar not appearing

update, a color bar will not appear if you have the station model editor open for your particular point dataset. Once you save/close the station model editor, then the color bar will appear properly.

color bar not appearing

See attached graphic, I've tried to insert a color bar at the top of my netcdf point data plot and the color bar does not appear regardless of how much I zoom in or out or left, right, top, bottom positioning

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

this particular file works as you've shown in your graphic. When I try a different file, also over the South Pole, the "wire-frame box" appears by itself (as before) but when I zoom out and pan right, I see the data. See attached graphics. The file I'm referring to is located at the SSEC f...

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

I tried out the nightly today. When I create the scatter analysis, I still see some red squares at the center of the left and middle panels. If I pan to the right, I do see the map with the image data, but there are some strange magenta lines over the top of which I cannot get rid of. See attached i...

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

an entire orbit does indeed wrap around the globe and there is a segment where there is overlap in the data. This is the nature of AVHRR Global Area Coverage data. I can do a test to eliminate the coordinates attribute in the lat/lon, but it sounds like you may have bigger fish to fry with the overl...

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

all but 1000 scanlines in these files are missing. If I were to include all the lat/lons, I would not be able to subset the data effectively, see the following forum thread: http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=905&hilit=subset&start=20 When we process our data, we do ...

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

Two additional issues with this: 1) I can draw a curve within the scatterplot and see the points in the imagery, but when I draw a curve in the imagery (see attached image) no points appear on the scatterplot. 2) We have some fields with values of -9 which correspond to missing data and other points...

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

Thanks for the update. It would be very helpful to be able to change the projection in the left two panels. The "world" projection is not very useful for examining data over the polar regions, especially detailed cloud features that we're interested in.

Re: error when attempting a scatter analysis

Well, we've made progress here. It turns out she was using Mc-V 1.2, but when she upgraded to the new Mc-V 1.3, the error went away. But we are facing a new problem now. The 3-panel scatter analysis window appears and all the points appear in the right hand panel, but the images associated with her ...

error when attempting a scatter analysis

A colleague here was trying to create a scatterplot of two difference fields from NetCDF file data, for example, 3.9-10.7 BT difference on x-axis, 6.7-10.7 BT difference on y-axis. She got the error in the attached image.
