Hi HP -
Thanks for the update. Jay and I both tried our MODIS files with the newest nightly (4/20) and everything works fine for us as well. It must have just been something temporary that got fixed.
Thanks -
Bob

Re: no map drawn on Projection Manager widget
Hi HP -
I have the McV build from 4/20 and I tried replicating your issue. I was able to see your problem on a Linux 64-bit machine if I checked on 'Enable Non-Power of Two (NPOT) textures'. If this is checked off, it works. I will write this up as an inquiry.
Thanks

NPP Chooser
The NPP data chooser can be found in the Under Development list in the Data Sources tab of the Data Explorer window. The NPP chooser allows you to display NPP (NPOESS Preparatory Project) satellite data. If you have sample NPP data and are interested in using the NPP chooser, you must run the McIDAS...

Re: AVHRR HRPT support
Hi Kris, I am having trouble replicating your problem. Here is what I did: On the NOAA CLASS website, I chose AVHRR. I selected HRPT as my Datatype and NOAA-18 as my Satellite. I also selected 10 Bits/Pixel and all channels. After receiving this data, I attempted to replicate your issue. However, my...

Re: Data probe/Time series for netCDF and HDF files
Hi Kaba and Tom R.,
I have written an inquiry for evaluation (inquiry 1002 http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=1002) to teach McIDAS-V to recognize "time" as a variable or an attribute.
Thanks,
Bob and Jay

Re: Data Probe/Time Series
Joleen, I just talked to DaveP and Rick about this and I tried it out on a Mac. This is a problem that we are going to turn in to Unidata. It turns out that I am working on a Windows machine, where right-clicking on the chart gives an entirely different menu than you see in the Mac. In Windows, hold...

Re: Data Probe/Time Series
Joleen, Yes, you can change the Time (GMT) title. You can do this by Right clicking on the chart and selecting Properties. This will open a Chart Properties window. Go to the Plot tab. Under XY Plot, select the Domain Axis tab. The General -> Label is the name of the title of that axis and it can be...

Re: Data Probe/Time Series
Hi Joleen, I have made Inquiry #999 and attached this forum post to it. Thank you for all of your ideas for enhancements. In your first post, #'s 1, 2, and 6 will be looked at as possible enhancements. #4 will be looked at to see what the Domain Lines Legend Label and Range Lines Legend Label are. A...

Polar Orbit Track Chooser
The Polar Orbit Track chooser is under development and can be found in the Under Development list of choosers in the Data Sources tab of the Data Explorer. The Polar Orbit Track tool allows McIDAS-V to plot the tracks of the polar orbiting satellites utilizing TLE messages from the satellites. McIDA...
