Re: refresh button not working
Hi Kris- Do you mean the "refresh" checkbox that has an amount of minutes on it? Or when I'm in the directory listing on XP, I can right click and then choose "refresh". I tried this on our OSX tester and I can't figure any way to refresh it since I don't see any options when rig...

Re: Image disappeared when switch between panels
Hi bshan- I tried this process on my XP workstation running beta1, and I see both images correctly. Can you answer a couple of questions? 1. What platform are you running on? 2. What version of McIDAS-V do you have installed? (beta1?) 3. Graphics card information may be helpful as well. 4. What type...

Re: Generic MD to NetCDF converter
Hi Howard... We've been playing with this here as far as reading MD files directly in -V. I am able to use the real time MD data servers from the Data Center, but when I use some of our testing machines that we have set up to serve the MD files "remotely," then all I get is errors like &qu...

Re: AREA files won't import - "Domain must be only spatial"
Hi Tim- I see this error often with POES imagery data and it's due to the default nav of the file not coded into McV. However, you may be able to display the area file with a lat/lon navigation. If you are using the beta1 version (I don't remember if this was in the alpha versions, it probably was),...

Re: Saving Range when Displaying GOES IR Temp (band 4) Image
Hi Greg... I'm seeing the same problem you are in beta1. When I was doing my testing, I was using a test version of beta2 and it appears to work correctly with aliases there. We plan to make beta2 available in the near future, but there are a couple of bugs and further enhancements that need to be r...

Re: Saving Range when Displaying GOES IR Temp (band 4) Image
Hi Greg... Considering the saving range problem... I guessing that it's not saved, because once you save a value in the Parameter defaults editor with your method, the "Parameter" by default is something like 78_Band4_TEMP (for a GOES-12 10.7 um image, satellite number, band number, unit)....

Re: ‘Brightness’ and data types defaults
These are good points. I've written up Inq. 434 for Evaluation to make these enhancements.

Re: Convert Brightness to Temperatures --- *.gini Satellite Data
Hi Greg- Could you send a sample *.gini file to the Help Desk? We'd like to play around with one and see what we come up with.
Thanks, Jay
