Re: BUFR-coded European radar data
Hi HP - We have a programmer who is going to start looking into into this. We picked up the BUFR file you attached to your original post, as well as the tables-OPERA-20110616.tgz file from the website you mentioned. This *.tgz file has several different 'local' and 'WMO' tables included with it. Do ...

Re: misbehaviour when changing font size of lat/lon labels
Hi HP -
Thanks for the bug report. I am seeing the same issue of latitude/longitude label size not adjusting properly to the zoom level. I have written this up as McIDAS-V inquiry #1374.

Re: Accumulating Time Animation
Hi Joleen - I think I figured out how to get the display that you want. Admittedly, it doesn't seem to very intuitive and I may write up an inquiry to make this easier to do. To do this: 1. Load the data in through the General->Files/Directories chooser with the 'Text Point and Trajectory Data files...

Re: Accumulating Time Animation
Hi Joleen - I picked up your text file and loaded it into the nightly. I did this through the General->Files/Directories chooser with the 'Text Point and Trajectory Data files' Data Type. In the Point Data window, I did the following: Delimiter: Comma Value: Name: Unit/Date Format: 2012-06-29 15:45:...

Re: re-editing projection not possible
Hi HP - We talked about this at one of our meetings, and we believe that the problem is somewhere in the code for the Projection Manager; it is looking at the maps.xml file, when it shouldn't. I have written this up as a bug, and it is inquiry #1366. m Also, I am not sure of any way to lump these fi...

Re: re-editing projection not possible
Hi HP - Sorry that this is taking a while to figure out, but using your projections.xml file, we are still unable to replicate the problem. Can you please let us know how long you have been seeing this problem? Also, if you have the last stable release, 1.2, can you please try re-editing a projectio...

Re: BUFR-coded European radar data
Hi HP - We actually received a request to allow McIDAS-V to load in this OPERA BUFR radar data back in 2009 and it is written up as inquiry #575 (m). However, I do not believe that user provided the location of the needed BUFR tables. I added note of your request for this enhancement and attached th...

Re: re-editing projection not possible
Hi HP -
We are still looking into this, but cannot yet reproduce the problem. Can you please attach your projections.xml file to a forum post? This file is in your McIDAS-V directory. Having this file may be useful in helping us diagnose what may be going on.
Thanks -

Re: My thesis is doing well: I have a few more questions!
Hello again - I spoke with one of our programmers about some values not being contoured. This is because initially it is a very large grid, and the 'resolution' used to contour the data points is very low. You can overcome this by subsetting a region in the Region tab of the Field Selector before hi...

Re: My thesis is doing well: I have a few more questions!
Hello - Thanks for the files. I picked them up and loaded them into McIDAS-V with contours for temperature. The only issue that I ran into is that it appears there is at least one bad data point in your NJWXNET-JUL(0000z(10)-0600z(12)).txt file that plots over Antarctica (which prevents contour line...
