Display Missing in Beta 2 on Windows
I tried to install beta 2 in Windows (32-bit) and the display came up blank. It appears that there is a map/navigation there, as I can move the cursor around and retrieve coordinates, as well as change the map projection and even "display" images - but it all shows up blank in the display ...

Re: MCLISTEN spawns zombie processes
Hi Jay, Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I'm swamped right now and can only get to testing McV when I have spare time (ha!). 1. Yes, I usually start MCLISTEN in McIDAS-X with McV either already running or not running. Then I use the Data Explorer to find the frame in -X that I need. Note that ...

MCLISTEN spawns zombie processes
This is a McIDAS-X question/bug but since it's related to McIDAS-V.... I am running McIDAS-X and McIDAS-V on a Dell Precision 650 running RHEL Enterprise 4.0. I have McIDAS-X configured to 320 frames at 1024x768 resolution on a 24 bit display (I think...). When I start MCLISTEN, it works as advertis...

Re: Auto-Update of Data (Images, MD, Grid, loops)?
Tom, You're correct - it's the data. However, when I load a bundle, I need to go back into the Data Explorer, Field Selector tab, right click on the Data Source"s" and adjust the polling in properties. When I do this, it makes me reload the data otherwise the polling isn't applied. It kind...

Re: Auto-Update of Data (Images, MD, Grid, loops)?
Oops - I found how to do this in the Field Selector tab, by right clicking on the Data Sources and going to the Properties tab.
However, can this be done for a bundle? Instead of having to manually reload the bundle each time, can I set it to reload itself?
Thanks,
-Brian

Auto-Update of Data (Images, MD, Grid, loops)?
Is there a way to set up a loop and have it automatically update? Something similar to a cron or SKL in McIDAS-V. I'd like to display a loop (via Data Explorer or bundle) and want to have it auto-update based on a set time (every 5 mins, every 15 mins, every 30 mins, etc)
Thanks!

Satellite Image "Edge" Problem
I was trying to re-create an image from the CIMSS Satellite Blog using McIDAS-V: m When I tried to display the edge of the "full disk", instead of smoothing at the ends that McIDAS-X does, it appears that McIDAS-V does some kind of "stepping". I've attached an example from the MT...

Re: Displaying POES data
Greg,
I have the same issue, but got around this by selecting the Navigation Type: Lat/Lon in the Data Sources menu.
