Re: How can you change the description for Image Type

Rick, Yes, this has been an issue with some of the data on our ESPC servers. We are so used to using the GROUP/DESCRIPTOR in McIDAS-X that we've been terrible at updating the comment fields for the datasets. If you have access to DPD on SATEPSDIST1e.nesdis.noaa.gov, you can see that the fourteen der...

Re: More than four panels

Hey, that worked! I've attached the modified plugin and a screenshot. What I was trying to do was mimic the CIMSS GOES sounder 20 panel image at: http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/goes/rt/view ... uct=ge_all using McIDAS-V. I didn't have time to populate the tiles yet, but when I do I'll be sure to send along a bundle.

Thanks!

More than four panels

I have been searching this board and can not believe the following feature was not requested. It must be buried somewhere. In any event, Tim S. mentioned that someone built him a special function to allow for 16 panels, in order to show the simulated ABI. I was going to try the same (20 panels) for ...

Re: Color Table Editor - Interpolate

Jay,

Thanks for the update! I have been able to get around this by selecting "fill" and coloring two chunks of the bar with solid colors (black next to white) and using the interpolate button to interpolate from one to the other. It works, but the older method was much easier.

Color Table Editor - Interpolate

Hi, I found a change from beta4 to beta5 that I'm not sure if it's a bug or the procedure changed. When I go into the color table editor, in beta4 when I would click on a color and choose "interpolate", I could stretch my chosen color onto the bar using the left mouse click and the interpo...

Is it possible to "zoom in" too much?

I don't know if this is a known bug or something else, but wanted to post it here. It seems that if I "Zoom in" to an image too much, the data drops out on me. I've only done this with satellite imagery so far (hove not tried Radar or other data). I've attached two images: Zoom1.jpg shows ...

Re: Making a frame larger than my monitor limits

Hi Tom,

My apologies. I'm still going to test your suggestion, I have not done it yet (but have not forgot about it!). Work took over and the summer leave hit our office, so we're swamped.

Re: Making a frame larger than my monitor limits

I've tried the sample python script and while it appears the bundle is loading, there also appears errors in the rendering. Here is the log output: ################ Tue Jun 16 14:40:06 UTC 2009 <bundle file="/home/sab/McIDAS-V/sos-test1.mcv" ></bundle> Java 3D WARNING : reported GLX versio...

Re: Display Missing in Beta 2 on Windows

Thanks for the tip, Jay. I had to scale down to 55% to make it work correctly.
