Re: Himawari archive server very slow

Hi Kris, In your example, I see that you are accessing data that is only a couple of days old. Re: mask problems

Hi Joleen,

Are you still seeing this behavior? If so, we should look into it further.

Re: binary data issue

Hi Kris,

I was looking at Doug's slides from the MUG Meeting, and it sounds like there was an update made for the binary flat file chooser to fix the problems you mentioned in this forum. It was released last month in version 1.5. Give it a try and let us know what you find.

Re: increasing memory

Hi Tim, Tommy's first question is important here. If you're running out of memory, or if you're using a significantly larger amount of memory from the script than you do from the user interface, then we may have a problem in the code. By default, McIDAS-V uses 80% of the available memory on your mac...

Re: Contouring radar reflectivity

Can you attach a sample file to the forum post, or if that won't work, anonymous ftp a file to our ftp server? (ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/incoming)

Thanks!

Re: STATION locater in getADDEImage

Joleen, In order to do it properly, the station database would need to be accessible from all of the choosers, the data probe, etc. and also would need a manager, so that users could add and edit their own stations. For the Level III RADAR chooser, when you click Connect it actually tells you that i...
