Is there a way to access the satellite viewing angle of the ABI data or the actual x and y coordinate values?
Thanks,
Joleen

Re: fixed grid format of ABI/AHI ==> ADDE
Hi Bob,
I should have started a new General Question thread for this. I was asking about getting the actual center from a loadGrid object where a xRange, yRange selection has been implemented to reduce the size of data loaded.

Re: GOES-16 Satellite Image - Move to Back? / Re-order Layers
Hi Bob, I have had this problem with GOES-16 as well. I have noticed this problem on both the Linux X86 machines and on IOS 10.10.15. The problem does not consistently appear when displaying one layer, but often appears when displaying multiple layers. However, occasionally the map disappear for a s...

Re: cross section on mapped display vs. in layer display
User error found..I displayed the first cross section as "all levels" and the rest were more selective.
Sorry about the confusion.

Re: cross section on mapped display vs. in layer display
When I get the transect displayed, it looks more like the original mapped cross section display. These are all using the same color table with the same endpoints.
Thanks,

Re: cross section on mapped display vs. in layer display
Oh wow...I just decided to try and draw a transect, and when I added the transect, the cross section in the display window suddenly matches the layer window. ???
I am very confused.

cross section on mapped display vs. in layer display
Hi, This might be a case where I am very confused and there is nothing wrong, but I displayed an AIRS cross section and looked at it in the display (in the data projection) and in the layer settings. They do not look the same, why? In particular, look at the layer at about 50 km, it appears to be ab...

Re: fixed grid format of ABI/AHI ==> ADDE
A slightly related question that I can't remember if I already asked: I have loaded part of a GOES-16 CONUS dataset, is there a method to determine the center location of the partial data and convert from fixed grid to lat/lon already built into the McIDAS-V software? This center location determinat...
