Re: error with parameter default
Hi Kris-
I can reproduce that error with my test modis granules as well on my XP machine. I wrote inquiry http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/inquiry-v/?inquiry=653 for this problem.
Thanks, Jay

Re: degrade image resolution and save new image
Hi Joleen... I just received some additional comments from TomW as well: In the layer controls, she can indeed only sample by every N-th pixel (N is an integer), but since this is a Display Control, it does not deal with the original data source; therefore, Jessica is correct that the only way to &q...

Re: degrade image resolution and save new image
Hi Joleen- Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I talked with our more expert users and found out that if you'd like a new degraded AREA file, it can't be written at this time (I'll make an inquiry for evaluation for this). However, there is a "Export displayed data to netCDF" f...

Hi William-
The 2D graphics package is on our list for after version 1.0, but there is no definitive timetable for when it will be done. If there is funding to do this work sooner, then we can move it up the list. If you have any further questions, just let us know.
Thanks, Jay

Re: Making a frame larger than my monitor limits
Hi Tom- We actually were seeing the same error while doing training at ESPC on the linux 32 bit testing machines that we were using for training. We tried your idea above and it did not work. Did you have any other suggestions? (For training we were using our xp laptop on the projector so we could s...

Re: error mcidasv.log
Hi Greg- mcservl.exe can take up to 10 seconds to stop after McV exits, and if you start McV again within that 10 seconds the mcservl process might not go away. We beta3 and 4 do a better job of cleaning up mcservl.exe processes, but they still can slip by and cause the Local ADDE manager problems y...

Re: Could not create a graphics configuration...
From the programmer: -------------------------------- I think getting TC involved would be helpful. If they can temporarily configure the machine to have only one graphics card then verify that Java3D works by using the webstart examples that would be a good first step. Step two would be to try McV ...

Re: Could not create a graphics configuration...
I received the following information from our system programmer: -------------------------------------------- I think another user here at SSEC had a Quadro NVS280 as well. Can you have the user check on the driver date? She had problems with the "latest" driver too, although it was releas...
