Hi Bob -
Okay. I am already running the Friday build (do always keep a good number older builds in stock!).

bundles produce stack overlfow in recent McV builds
Hi -
Recent builds of McIDAS-V (at least those of the past weekend) produce stack overflow with my bundles (I have uploaded to the SSEC server a sample bundle: MSLP_Z500.mcv. As others, this bundle worked flawless in the past. Can you reproduce this error (under Windows 10)?
cheers, HP

Re: exportGridToNetcdf() with from lat-lon limted area
Hi Bob - I have experimented a bit more with writing to netCDF. As regards your points 1&2 under 'as for your questions', the download (using the same procdure as you) of the full data set (from the 1-degree set at 'GFS One Degree - Global Coverage' takes hours (never wait for it to end). When I...

Re: exportGridToNetcdf() with from lat-lon limted area
Hi Bob - I realize that I am hitting on a very old topic already discussed in archaic IDV times - the 0° longitude discontinuity that prevents selection/drawing of areas straddling this longitude. With the cartopy/metpy packages charts straddling 0° may be drawn easily in python. The narrow gap alon...

exportGridToNetcdf() with from lat-lon limted area
Hi - In case of a global GFS data source exportGridToNetcdf() exports the selected meteorological fields of the global area. In order to limit the data volume and the time of file creation, I would like to be able to export only data from a lat-lon delimited region, in particular for one that stradd...

Re: RGB image no update
Hi Jay -
Could it be that this problem is somehow linked to to discussion "looking for correct data type in RGB script"?
cheers, HP

Re: altimeter netCDF file
Hi Bob - I finally got the displays I had in mind, not the least thanks to your superb support. The following items were important: 1. Binning, which I forgot to do half-way through the problem-solving process (aggregates the points along the orbit and allows their plotting) 2. Reducing the 'Search ...

Re: altimeter netCDF file
Hi Bob -
Now I am completely lost. I cannot even display adt in display types that worked before - no layer and display for whatever display type. I also tried 1.7u1 to no avail. Find attached the log file.

Re: altimeter netCDF file
Hi Bob - Yes, we get the same colour-filled display, just with differing backgrounds. My issue is however, the generous width of the adt track. I would expect a somewhat slimmer track that hardly overlaps with the landmass. As regards the value plot, I tried the type 'Plan Views > Value Plots' and, ...

Re: altimeter netCDF file
Hi Bob - Many thanks for the tip - should have recalled the binning! Maybe, the User's Guide on this topic could be improved a bit. E.g. one could mention, reference to the binning under 'Point Data Plot Comtrols'. Now to the displays. Value display does not produce one at all. Contour-shaded/filled...
