Since there is already code in McV to read MD files (via ADDE), I think we should work toward enabling the particulars of the metadata contained in the MD files people want to use. The issues for some of the files we've looked at seem to center on inconsistent names for key parameters like day, time...

Sorry, I missed your last couple of questions. Yes, there are memory limits in Java and McV. The Java runtime will not generally allow you to use more than 90% or so of your physical memory.
