Re: how i can get request satelite data in AREA and GINI format
Hi Boris,
In another post it was suggested that you visit the Class system at noaa.ncdc.gov. I believe you have also discussed this with UNIDATA and the SSEC Datacenter. Let us know if you have further questions.

Re: color bar disappears on globe zoom
Hi Kris - I am able to replicate something similar to your problem. If I create a globe display and display a field as a 3D isosurface, then the color bar will be hidden by the isosurface as I zoom through. However, just looking at a 2D Color-Filled Contour Plan View, I am not able to see the color ...

Re: Can McIDAS-V read BUFR files?
Help Desk replied: Sorry about the late reply; I was hoping to have a more definitive answer to your question. In any case, here's what I can tell you: McIDAS-V attempts to read in BUFR files using Unidata's netCDF package. So back on 23 November I dug up the sample BUFR file named amv34.2009033121....

Can McIDAS-V read BUFR files?
This question was recently received by the McIDAS Help Desk: Hello, Some time ago I sent an email to McIdas Help Desk to find out whether McIdas-X could read Bufr files. I sent a sample Bufr file. He said McIdas-X had only a limited capability handling the Bufr format. I'm wondering if McIdas-V read...

There are still gaps at dateline when displaying global data
On November 17th, a McIDAS-V Brainstorming session was held for all scientists at SSEC and CIMSS. At the session, one basic question was asked of the users: What would you like to see in McIDAS-V? The following discussion is from that brainstorming session: There are still gaps at dateline when disp...
