Re: NPP ATMS in Mc-V
thank you, I tried this and got a very weird display, see attached. Here's an example file on your ftp server, pub/incoming/AMSR_E_L2A_BrightnessTemperatures_V12_200604061816_D.hdf If I allow the display to remain in swath LALO projection, it still looks strange. for reference this was the 36.5 Ghz ...

Re: NPP ATMS in Mc-V
Thank you, could you also inform me of the procedure to view AMSR-E brightness temperature data? I've tried a variety of options, the only data type that seems to work is grid files, but then the data is treated like point data with 2000 time slots at 2 sec resolution. If I select all times, my disp...

Re: maximum across time series
When I do this, I only see valid data over mostly the water, when in fact later in the time series there are many high values over land, see below. I have put 9 files at SSEC ftp server at pub/incoming. For the example I show in the attached plot, I aggregated files from 0[2-8]0000.nc It seems as if...

Re: one display label across multiple aggregated displays
This won't work so well because I will have 480 times loaded into one object x 800x800 pixels to display which will bring Mc-V to its knees. Is this the only way? I recall Bob showing me at one point a method where one does Edit -> Display Settings and somehow grouped all the displays into one which...

one display label across multiple aggregated displays
I am visualizing 30 sec GOES-16 data and am loading in a 4 hour animation of data in 1 hour chunks. When I display and animate the data, you see the display label move, first showing the display name and timestep for the first hour, then moves up to the next hour; these moving labels are distracting...

maximum across time series
I have aggregated a set of netcdf files encompassing 2 hours in time with 10 min time steps. I want to create a single plot showing the maximum value of a certain parameter at each grid point across the 2 hrs. I tried the formula Grids -> Time Steps -> Max over time steps or Merge time sequences, bu...

Re: point data persisting past its valid time
Thank you Jay, wow, 2011, time flies. I will make a better point of remembering this discussion and will give this a try if this issue comes up again.

point data persisting past its valid time
I have some point data to display where the valid times of the data, i.e. you have an observation at 0600 UTC and maybe not another until 1000 UTC. I am trying to integrate these data with a satellite image display, where the satellite images are every 15 mins. I am finding that the point display (s...
