disappearing volume rendering
I've attached 2 plots showing a problem I encountered with visualizing volume rendered data. The first plot shows an almost side view of 2 panels, the left is a GOES visible image displayed at the surface elevation that's irrelevant to this discussion. The right panel shows volume rendered radar dat...

Mc-V hanging on image display
I am trying to aggregate some GOES-13 hemispheric scan data for display. I have put a file with some data at pub/incoming/GOES13.tar I first aggregate the files with NH in the name and display IR Brightness Temperature Image. Then I move onto the SH files. When I display the SH IR Brightness Tempera...

missing data range when valid data present
I've put a file on the SSEC ftp server: pub/incoming/GOES_Overshooting_Cloud_Top_Detection_Daily_2015182.nc In this file, I display a parameter Visible Texture Rating. It's a big array so I recommend subsetting over the U.S. to conserve memory. I see that the data range appears as From: missing To: ...

Re: differences in behavior, aggregated vs single file
I have continued to find issues with display of NetCDF unsigned byte arrays where values greater than 128 are not appearing in my display. This is very problematic as many products I'm creating have unsigned bytes to minimize storage requirement but when I display, I see gaps in the image as shown i...

Re: lat/lon label font size
I have displayed the GOES-14 data in a different projection, see the following file on your ftp server for example:
pub/incoming/20150525T2100Z.nc
That's the only uniqueness that I can think of for this example.

Re: formula not working, why?
Perhaps I was a little early with my nightly, I got today's nightly and now this worked as I originally typed. Any idea why I can't probe pixel values with the cursor?

Re: lat/lon label font size
I'm still having big problems with the lat/lon label font size. See atttachment, the numbers that you see are supposed to be size 8 font. I'd say they're more like size 80 font. I cannot get any usable lat/lon labelling on displays. Has any work on this occurred since March when I last posted about ...

Note that I am also unable to probe pixel values at the cursor location when I display this data

Re: formula not working, why?
No idea if they're "flat fields", they are 2-D arrays (well actually 3-D as they are also dimensioned by time but there's only 1 time) read from a NetCDF file. I tried replacing my max command with your newC= line but I got the same error. If I enter what you have below directly into the j...
