Change default settings for specific netCDF variables
The built-in default display settings for certain variables cannot be changed or edited, but you can override them by creating a user default. The one I was looking at was sst (Sea Surface Temperature) and even though I had a netCDF file which contained SST variable with units "K" it displ...

Re: Forums Search needs help
Hi Becky! I never thought about it being confused by the hyphen! Lots of people complain about it on their forums. It looks like a newer version of phpBB *might* have a search that works better: m I'm not positive though... not sure what version we're on here, but the copyright at the bottom of the ...

Forums Search needs help
Was trying to find a post on importing mcidas-x enhancements into -V and searched for "mcidas-x enhancement" and the forums told me: "No posts were found because the word mcidas-x is not contained in any post." Which we know is not true. (See: http://mcidas.ssec.wisc.edu/forums/v...

Re: Viewing Full Disk Images
Joleen, Below are some examples of Solid, Mesh, and Point all zoomed WAY in. I was wrong that mesh solved all of our problems - if zoomed out enough, you don't see the dateline in mesh. But zoomed in some you will see it. Blow it is zoomed in super far. I can't tell you what zoom factor I used, beca...

Re: Viewing Full Disk Images
There is a work-around I found by accident to get rid of the dateline by using the mesh option.... In the Layer Controls tab of the Data Explorer window, there is a pull-down menu for Mode: - choose Mesh and the dateline disappears.

Earth Navigation Panel - More Buttons
I love the Earth navigation Panel's "Go to address" feature - just like Google Earth. That's going to come in really handy. I would like to see some more buttons on there though: - A "north is up" button that rotates your image so that north is up but otherwise is in the same cen...
