Re: Data Explorer Fields tab no Times/Region/Advanced Tabs
Hi Barry, I have figured out how (but not why) the Satellite Field Tabs (Times/.../Adv) are not visible when viewing Satellite data. I am using a multi-screen workstation. It appears that when the Explorer window is not coincident with the Main viewing window, the Fields Tabs do not load. Using tria...

Re: Data Explorer Fields tab no Times/Region/Advanced Tabs
Hi Barry, I failed to mention that I did choose the calibration Raw/Brightness/Temp. On each occasion, the Times/../Adv tabs failed to appear. This has happened in the past on my previous PC and also on an independent PC on another work desk using similarly Win7 OS. I can't remember what solved the ...

Data Explorer Fields tab no Times/Region/Advanced Tabs
Hi, I have recently installed McV Ver.1.4 64-bit onto my new PC. OS is Win7. Previous install was working fine. This latest install does not display the Times/Region/Advanced tabs in the Data Explorer Fields window for Satellite imagery. I am attempting to display MTSAT imagery over a higher resolut...

Re: McIdas-V and Windows Server 2012
Hi, We managed to get McIdas-V up and running on a Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V virtual machine, so just thought I'd send through what we did in case anyone else faces the same challenges. I'm not sure if all of these steps are necessary, but they worked. 1. We installed the 32 bit version of McIdas-...

Re: McIdas-V and Windows Server 2012
Hi Rick, Thanks for sending through those points. I should have mentioned that this is a Windows VPS running under Hyper-V, so the graphics side of things is very limited (and I'm thinking perhaps insufficient). I've seen some mention on Google searches that Unidata's IDV didn't or doesn't seem to w...

McIdas-V and Windows Server 2012
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has tried and/or succeeded in getting McIdas-V operating on a Windows Server 2012 installation? We tried installing using the normal Windows installer (ie including the JRE), which completes successfully, but when we try and then run McIdas-V it shows the initial l...

Re: Help with script to create/display SEVIRI RGBcomposite Image
Thanks Mike,
once again your help is appreciated. You mentioned a longer list of commands......do you mind pointing me to them.
PS: Your layer command worked fine.
Regards
Craig

Re: Help with script to create/display SEVIRI RGBcomposite Image
Just prolonging this thread a little longer...... Another question I have is with regards to adding a map layer to a script. My current list of commands to create an image is below. What I wish to do now is remove the default coastal outline map that is generated automatically and replace with a hig...

Re: Help with script to create/display SEVIRI RGBcomposite Image
mhiley,
no this doesn't confuse things - it made it all the more clearer. I can now see the link between a script and the available functions in the formula listing. Thanks for the explanation and your help.

Re: Help with script to create/display SEVIRI RGBcomposite Image
hproe, thank you for providing the answer I needed. After a little tweaking and following your example, my script is doing what I wanted it to do. I will next time save myself some wasted nights and endless searching and seek assistance from this forum a little earlier. One area that had me stumped ...
