Re: Make Data Source Local
Hello again Bob, According to the User Guide in the scripting section you need to run the script under xvfb: "When invoked as a command line argument, the user interface will not be shown. However, McIDAS-V still needs to be run with an active window system (e.g., X, MS Windows) for it to run. ...

Re: Make Data Source Local
Hi Bob,
I have implemented your suggestion of running scripts in background through the cron and it works perfectly, I think it is a very good solution.
Thank you very much again
Ricardo

Re: Make Data Source Local
Thanks a lot Bob, My intention was that in a configuration with several machines running McIDAS only one would access the remote servers, create a local dataset and the rest of the machines would access this local dataset, all this in order to minimize internet traffic. There are probably more effic...

Re: Make Data Source Local
Another question Bob:
I already have a local dataset with the last 5 GOES images. Is there any way to have it automatically updated with the latest image available, just like on a remote server.
The pulling option obviously does not work because the images are not refreshed.
Thank you
Ricardo

Re: Grid Skew-T
Hi Bob:
You are right, I didn't realize there were two "Sounding (with true winds)". I was using the second one, the first one works. I tried with GFS 1, 0.5 y 0.25 degrees and the first one works fine, it is the second one that does not work with any of them.
Thank you very much
Ricardo

Re: Grid Skew-T
Thank you very much Bob, but I would prefer to wait for a stable version, do you know when V 1.9 will be released?
By the way, the method works correctly with GFS analysis.
Regards
