Is there a limit to how many gridpoints you can have in a M-
I was just wondering if there is a hard-wired limit as to how many gridpoints a M-V user can employee in an objective analysis? For example, in M-X, as of 2013.1, there is a hard-wired limit of 2000000 gridpoints. Is there some
analogous number in McIDAS-V???
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jim

Automatic updating of PUBLIC.SRV ?
Greetings, all! 1.) I would imagine the latest PUBLIC.SRV file gets installed on a user's system when M-V is installed. Would it be good/bad to have M-V automatically download the latest file from SSEC each time M-V gets restarted? Or would that be too much overhead. 2.) Related to #1 above -- Would...

Some trivial details in users guide
Hi all:
1.) "Layer Controls" -> "Observation and Location Controls" -> "Point Data Plot" --
Approximately the 8th line from the bottom of the page says "70F" -- it should say "35F".

Re: Histograms ?
Very good, Barry -- Thank you! It appears that the histogram is of "raw" areafile pixel values (i.e., numbers ranging from 0 -> 25000+). 1.) I would like to be able to select the calibration to use when generating my histogram (e.g., TEMP, BRIT, ALB, etc.) 2.) I am looking at a GOES-12 Sou...
