Interestingly I found that the Drawing Control crosshairs are actually plotting in the Jython script but appears as specks. So the problem is they've been scaled down tremendously. I changed the scaling up by a factor of 20 and they are appearing now, but lat/long lines are still not plotting.

Thanks for the help... I can confirm that this worked and the random lines are now gone.

Actually I did experiment with the 'fast rendering' option and I see minor changes to the random lines, but they're all still there.

Thanks, that definitely seems to solve it. I'll have to experiment more with the local ADDE server, too... it seems to give more control over the image building process than simple file selection.
